Gender Differences in the Perception of Burnout Syndrome Among Education and Rehabilitation Experts

Abstract


Stress and burnout syndrome of education and rehabilitation experts have been identified as a significant problem, so the subject of this research is focused on analyzing the gender impact on the occurrence ofburnout syndrome in education and rehabilitation experts. The aim of the research was to examine whether there are any differences in the degree of professional burden of education and rehabilitation professionals in relation to gender. The study covered 102 educational and rehabilitation professionals of both sexes, 31 (30.4%) male and 71 (69.6%) female sex. Two measurement questionnaires were used for the assessment: a general questionnaire and a Check List of Burden. The results of the research haves hown that gender does not affect the occurrence of professional burden of education and rehabilitation experts. The obtained results are not in line with the expected results because it was expect that female education and rehabilitation experts will have a higher level of professional burden. In the paper it wasdiscusses about the results obtained, pointing to the limitation but also the advantages of this research.
